Comic Gary Owen got his big break in 1997 on BET's influential stand-up showcase "Comic View," so it's only fitting that his big return to the network is a significant one. Owen stars in a family-centric reality series, becoming the first white lead actor in the network's 36-year history. The half-hour episodes follow Owens at home in Cincinnati, where Gary was born and bred in a trailer park. He now resides in an 11,000-square-foot home in an affluent suburb with his culturally blended family -- his wife, Kenya, is black, and their children, Emilio (21), Austin (15) and Kennedy (14), are interracial. Gary makes jokes out of everything and is hard to be taken seriously when real-life decisions need to be made; however, he is all in when he is passionate about something and once he commits, he doesn't let anything get in his way.
