Chef Gordon Ramsay is expanding his brand into another branch of the service industry in this new show. Along with a team of hospitality experts, Ramsay will travel the country applying his high standards to struggling hotels, motels, and bed and breakfasts in an effort to get the owners and staff to turn their establishments around. Ramsay's signature no-holds-barred style will make it clear to those he coaches that there is no place for dirty rooms or incompetent staff if one hopes to remain in business.

Based on the same-named hit movie from 1999 that starred Heath Ledger and Julia Stiles, this half-hour series returns to Padua High, where newcomers Kat and Bianca Stratford attempt to navigate the popular crowd and the opposite sex while dealing with their overprotective dad. "The Casual Vacancy" is a three-part miniseries adaptation of the novel by J.K. Rowling. The story is based on the lives of the residents living in the fictional English village of Pagford. It's home to a market square and ancient abbey, but what lies behind the idyllic surroundings is a community at war over the legacy of Sweetlove House. Parish Council Chairman Howard Mollison argues for an end to the legacy but is opposed by council member Barry Fairbrother, whose impassioned speech outlines Sweetlove's importance. When Fairbrother suddenly dies, the "casual vacancy" on the council soon becomes the catalyst for a clash that rocks the village.
It's a generational clash when 40-something ad exec Thom Payne gets a new wunderkind boss, who is in his mid-20s. When his boss starts using words like digital, social and viral, Thom realizes he may need to rebrand himself to compete in a technology-driven world. His pursuit of happiness is going well to this point -- he has a beautiful house in the woods, a loving family, a roster of big-name clients and a trophy shelf filled with awards for his work -- but being slow to adapt compromises his quest. His immediate supervisor, 50-something Jonathan, has begun to embrace the changing environment and encourages Thom to do the same. Otherwise, Thom may be stuck being just "happyish" for the rest of his life.
Things are looking good for aspiring journalist April. Not only has the 20-something received an opportunity to impress her editor at the Boston newspaper where she works, but she also has a budding romance with attractive co-worker Dominic. Unfortunately that's when a big challenge starts. She is admitted to hospital and learns from her oncologist uncle that she has cancer. Thus begins April's journey to beat the disease while following her dreams for both her personal and professional lives.
When Kevin retires from the police force, he thinks life will be all about hanging out with his wife and kids and going on the occasional adventure with fellow retirees. A different narrative starts to take shape when he discovers his wife has been protecting him from certain family info while he was out keeping the streets safe. When his wife dies suddenly, Kevin must postpone a life of leisure and work on keeping his family in shape. In addition to taking on the role of single dad, Kevin goes back to work, joining the private security firm launched by his former partner.
