There's plenty of drama at the Gatsby Salon in New Jersey, where big hair, big nails, and a constant tan are de rigueur. The high-end salon has recently undergone a complete makeover of its own and is now as state-of-the-art as it can be. Owner Gayle and daughter Christy are feeling the pressure to make the shop a success -- and the ongoing drama among the staff is just one more stressor. Stylist Anthony, who owns his own salon but works at the Gatsby while it's being revamped, is unfazed by the female drama surrounding him there. Alexa, who has a sideline business doing makeup for brides on the weekends, has dreams of her own and very definite feelings about what constitutes Jersey style. And Gigi, who dreams of a husband and family, is working on reconciling with the love of her life while styling hair at the salon.

Although not necessarily a household name nationwide, Kim Kimble is one of the biggest names in Hollywood when it comes to hair. The celebrity hairstylist comes up with the hairstyles worn by many on Hollywood's A-list, including Grammy-winning singers Beyoncé, Mary J. Blige and Shakira. Her clientele also includes the not-so-famous through her successful retail product line and the exclusive Hollywood salon that she runs, Kimble Hair Studio. Staffed by talented but high-strung stylists, the salon is at the crux of this reality series that documents the stylists' fierce rivalry and desire to be on top. Also featured in the series is Kim's mother, Jasmine, a hairstylist and salon owner herself who encouraged her daughter to follow in the family's hairdressing legacy after recognizing Kim's talent at an early age.

As the series progresses, the Manzo children leave the house and head out on their own, leaving Caroline to wonder if she has succeeded in her role as the Manzo matriarch.
It's a story tailor-made for a reality-TV series: "E! News" anchor Giuliana DePandi and first "Apprentice" winner Bill Rancic met during an interview, were engaged in 2006 and married the next year. So, of course, Style, E!'s sister network, ordered a series featuring the celebrity couple. "Giuliana & Bill" features the couple as they're seen navigating their not-quite-ideal relationship with many phone calls and flights, as he runs businesses in Chicago and she works in Los Angeles. Although he eventually moves out west to be with his wife in the City of Angels.

Lisa Vanderpump first gained fame as a cast member on "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," but her full-time job is as co-owner and boss at West Hollywood, Calif., restaurant SUR, which stands for Sexy Unique Restaurant. Vanderpump balances her motherly instinct with her shrewd business sense to maintain control over the restaurant's wild group of employees who are working at the eatery while pursuing their dreams. Drama seems to be part of the job for the employees at SUR, who tend to date -- and, in most cases, subsequently break up with -- their fellow co-workers.
