There's plenty of drama at the Gatsby Salon in New Jersey, where big hair, big nails, and a constant tan are de rigueur. The high-end salon has recently undergone a complete makeover of its own and is now as state-of-the-art as it can be. Owner Gayle and daughter Christy are feeling the pressure to make the shop a success -- and the ongoing drama among the staff is just one more stressor. Stylist Anthony, who owns his own salon but works at the Gatsby while it's being revamped, is unfazed by the female drama surrounding him there. Alexa, who has a sideline business doing makeup for brides on the weekends, has dreams of her own and very definite feelings about what constitutes Jersey style. And Gigi, who dreams of a husband and family, is working on reconciling with the love of her life while styling hair at the salon.

Although not necessarily a household name nationwide, Kim Kimble is one of the biggest names in Hollywood when it comes to hair. The celebrity hairstylist comes up with the hairstyles worn by many on Hollywood's A-list, including Grammy-winning singers Beyoncé, Mary J. Blige and Shakira. Her clientele also includes the not-so-famous through her successful retail product line and the exclusive Hollywood salon that she runs, Kimble Hair Studio. Staffed by talented but high-strung stylists, the salon is at the crux of this reality series that documents the stylists' fierce rivalry and desire to be on top. Also featured in the series is Kim's mother, Jasmine, a hairstylist and salon owner herself who encouraged her daughter to follow in the family's hairdressing legacy after recognizing Kim's talent at an early age.

It's a story tailor-made for a reality-TV series: "E! News" anchor Giuliana DePandi and first "Apprentice" winner Bill Rancic met during an interview, were engaged in 2006 and married the next year. So, of course, Style, E!'s sister network, ordered a series featuring the celebrity couple. "Giuliana & Bill" features the couple as they're seen navigating their not-quite-ideal relationship with many phone calls and flights, as he runs businesses in Chicago and she works in Los Angeles. Although he eventually moves out west to be with his wife in the City of Angels.

Despite being engaged, daughter Lauren has never left the Manzo household; sons Albie and Chris have returned home to save money for a new apartment, and Albie's girlfriend joins them; Lauren tries to expand her business; Chris gets into messes that are hard for Caroline to handle. Sister-in-law Jacqueline offers help, but caterer Albert focuses on more productive activities. For three seasons, salon owner Tabatha Coffey has traveled across the country trying to turn around failing hair salons that needed her help to stay in business. Now, in the retitled "Tabatha Takes Over," Coffey expands her horizons and helps more types of failing businesses, not just salons, turn their fortunes around. At each business, she takes over as boss for a week as she confiscates the keys and brings her brutally honest approach to the business owners. Among the businesses Coffey visits are a doggy day care, a Los Angeles bed and breakfast and a yogurt shop.

The lifelong love and unshakeable bond between mothers and daughters is the dessert on top of this frivolity-filled docu-series. The beefy story lines focus mainly on the big attitudes and big drama inherent in a country-club setting, and how five mother-daughter duos find their place in Dallas' high society. The cast includes club power broker Pamela, who is determined to have her daughter Hannah follow in her footsteps; social butterfly Connie and her daughter Grace, who aspires to become head cheerleader; and the partying professor Bonnie and her wild-child daughter, Whitney, who constantly argue over who is "hotter."

It's a lot of hair gel, suntan lotion and skimpy clothing for the young adults featured in this reality series. After a first season spent in the beach town of Seaside Heights, N.J., the party moved south to Miami Beach for season two before friendships and flames were rekindled back at the original Jersey shore house in the third, fifth and sixth seasons. In between, a new type of renaissance ensued when the roomies brought their trademark fist-pumping and family dysfunction to Italy in season four. The historic city of Florence, it's safe to assume, may never recover. The series ran for six seasons and became MTV's highest-rated series ever.

Stacy London is back on TLC helping women see the errors of their fashion choices. "Love, Lust or Run" is almost identical in construction to her former "What Not to Wear" series except that instead of subjects undergoing style makeovers, they receive what TLC calls "makeunders." Each episode begins with strangers rating a woman's style by choosing either "love," "lust" or "run." Next, the woman strips off her hair extensions, wild clothes, and garish makeup in order to start with a blank slate. Stacy then guides her through a "makeunder," which dramatically changes her look and allows her to channel what she really wants the public to see.
