The show goes inside the models' personal lives, showcasing their struggles to make it in the fashion world and revealing emotional conversations with family members. The featured models include Laith, who was one of the first transgender male models to appear in a national campaign; Dominique, who has been modeling for more than 20 years; Isis, who was a fashion designer before getting into modeling; newcomer Ren, who hopes modeling can help her reconnect with her distant father; and outspoken Arisce, who has walked runways during New York, Los Angeles and Miami Fashion Week shows.

Decades later, the next generation of the Robinson family is working to keep the label alive while putting its own stamp on music history. The family -- led by Leland Robinson Sr., the middle son of Joe and Sylvia -- helps their artists develop a unique sound while searching for the next big thing in music and trying to bring the label back into the public eye. While some of the younger members of the family work toward living up to their legendary surname, others simply enjoy the perks that their name brings them.
Atlanta has become a hotbed for hip-hop music, and it is the setting for this reality series that explores what life is like for a tight-knit crew of friends, many of whom have family members who are well-known in the hip-hop community. Shad Moss -- better known as Bow Wow -- returns to Atlanta to release his first album in several years, which he intends to make his swan song before bowing out of the industry so he can focus on raising his child and dealing with other personal issues. Mentoring him are surrogate fathers Snoop Dogg and Jermaine Dupri. Hoping to step out of their parents' famous shadows are members of Bow Wow's ATL crew, including Dupri's daughter Shaniah Mauldin; Reginae Carter, the daughter of Lil Wayne and Toya Wright; T.I. and Tiny's daughter Zonnique Pullins; Brandon Barnes, the son of hip-hop manager Debra Antney and brother of rapper Waka Flocka Flame; and Ayana Fite, the daughter of Beastie Boys mainstay DJ Hurricane and Barnes' cousin.
Growing up with a famous parent isn't easy, as the children often have to work hard to emerge from their parents' shadows and gain independence -- especially if they want entertainment careers of their own.
