Modeled after the longtime, highly regarded BBC show of the same name, "Match of the Day" presents an extended highlights rundown -- all of it by way of the original announcer calls from the game broadcasts -- of every Premiere League match from Saturday, plus post-match interviews and reactions. Rebecca Lowe, who covered soccer for the BBC and ESPN prior to joining NBC Sports, hosts the show, with analysis presented by former Jamaican national team player Robbie Earle and former English footballer Robbie Mustoe, and contributions by legendary U.K. striker Gary Lineker and Daily Mail columnist Neil Ashton.
