Now that the twins have graduated from high school, they're ready to start a new adventure -- in California. Living with their aunt and cousin in a beach house, Liv and Maddie are ready to start the next chapter of their lives, with Liv pursuing her acting and singing career and Maddie attending her dream college on a basketball scholarship. After the twins move to California, the rest of their family -- minus dad -- is also forced to move there when brothers Joey and Parker ruin their Wisconsin home. Maddie keeps busy between basketball, academics and balancing a long-distance relationship with Diggie. Liv is happy that cousin Ruby appears to be following in her footsteps and is cast in a TV series. Joey, suddenly the cool kid in school, finds his calling as a comedian. Parker has his first crush as he attends a new high school. Karen considers pursuing modeling as she enjoys her new relaxed lifestyle in California.

High-school student K.C. Cooper is a math whiz with a black belt in karate. But thankfully the parents just chalk it up to Chloe's overactive imagination. As for Stan, he has a knack for getting himself, Tyler and Avery into sticky situations, which helps teach the kids how important family is and how much they need to work together to keep Stan's secret safe.
"Austin & Ally" follows the exploits of the title characters, polar opposites who combine their talents to try to create a musical tour de force. Austin is an extroverted musician and singer. Ally is a brilliant, but shy, songwriter. Austin and Ally's best friends are Trish and Dez, respectively.
