Jack Hanna has hosted TV shows about wildlife since the premiere of "Jack Hanna's Animal Adventures" in 1993 and has become a zoological authority in his 30-plus years working at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium in Ohio. On "Wild Countdown," he uses his knowledge and experience to present count-down lists of rare, fascinating creatures -- appropriate, given Hanna's many appearances on "Late Show With David Letterman." Topics include beasts equipped with armor, deceptively cute -- but dangerous -- animals, and adorable baby critters.

Zoologist and animal trainer Dave Salmoni has traveled around the world to study animals and their ecosystems, often exploring the delicate balance between wildlife and civilization. In this series, Salmoni is put to the ultimate test as he lives beside some of the world's fiercest creatures, visiting remote islands to investigate how beastly inhabitants survive in harsh conditions. For answers, Salmoni must get closer to the animals than most people would be willing to. Among his journeys are treks to a South Pacific island that is home to a large concentration of sharks, and an island off the coast of Panama that has a dark secret.
