Former missing persons detective Leroy Wright is a skeptic who doesn't believe aliens exist, unlike true believer Max Jennifer, who is convinced his wife was abducted by such beings. Against all odds, the two find themselves forced to work with each other when, at low points in their lives, they are both recruited by Capt. Ava Lafrey, a take-no-prisoners former Air Force test pilot and head of the Bureau Underground, a secret government organization investigating paranormal cases. Lafrey and her staff support Leroy and Max as they look into unexplained activity and keep Earth safe.

Leslie Knope, a midlevel bureaucrat in an Indiana Parks and Recreation Department, hopes to beautify her town (and boost her own career) by helping local nurse Ann Perkins turn an abandoned construction site into a community park, but what should be a fairly simple project is stymied at every turn by oafish bureaucrats, selfish neighbors, governmental red tape and a myriad of other challenges. Leslie's colleague Tom Haverford, who delights in exploiting his position for personal gain, is as likely to undermine her efforts as to help her, while her boss, Ron Swanson, is adamantly opposed to government in any form, even though he's a bureaucrat himself.
Jackpot Airlines is a budget carrier whose junket flight from Los Angeles to Las Vegas and back is filled with dreamers hoping to finally make that big score. Long-suffering flight attendant Ronnie holds things together in the cabin, managing the revolving door of bachelor parties and 21st birthdays, and developing a location-based relationship with Colin, an economics professor who is a frequent passenger on her flights. Theirs isn't the only relationship fostered by proximity. Together, with the rest of the crew and regulars, they are part of an unconventional family from Friday to Sunday, whether they like it or not.
After going through a rough breakup, awkward and upbeat Jess (Zooey Deschanel) moves in with three single guys. Intelligent and witty Nick is an underachiever who took the bartender off-ramp on his road to success. Schmidt obsesses over his social standing and looks at Jess as a personal project. Winston is a competitive former athlete who, after realizing he will never become a pro, moves into the loft. Together with Jess' best friend, Cece, they bond to form an unlikely, and dysfunctional, family.
An ensemble comedy about an alien abductee support group revolves around a journalist's investigation of the members' supposed extraterrestrial experiences. As seasoned writer Ozzie Graham delves further into oddball claims made by members of StarCrossed, his initial skepticism begins to turn when he hears their stories firsthand and realizes he might have a story to tell, too. Though Ozzie struggles with the notion that life could exist beyond our world, StarCrossed leader Gina Morrison tries to get him to accept his possible otherworldly experience.
Mickey, who is intelligent but lacking ambition, is always hustling and looking for the next easy payday. It seems like her ship has finally come in when she goes to Greenwich, Conn., to visit her estranged sister and billionaire brother-in-law in search of a handout, and they flee the country to avoid federal fraud charges, leaving her with everything. But nothing in life is free, and "everything" includes guardianship of her sister's three ill-mannered children -- teenage Sabrina, future Republican and middle child Chip, and the fragile youngest, Ben. Though motherhood was never in her plans, Mickey discovers a little responsibility never hurt anybody.
This ensemble comedy follows some single parents as they lean on each other to help raise their 7-year-old kids and maintain some kind of personal lives outside of parenthood. When the parents in the group meet Will, a 30-something guy who's been so focused on raising his daughter that he's lost sight of who he is as a man, they see just how far down the rabbit hole of PTA, parenting and princesses he has gone. The friends decide to band together to get him out in the dating world and make him realize that being a great parent doesn't mean sacrificing everything about his own identity.
Falling in love with a co-worker and pursuing a relationship is often a slippery slope that has a high probability of not ending well. So, of course, the best time to announce your love to a colleague is when you're about to begin a job overseas and know you'll never see that person again. That's the route Kevin takes, writing a letter to co-worker Audrey to declare his unrequited love for her after he accepts a position abroad. That opportunity falls through, though, and he is forced to go back to his old job. Can you say awkward? Kevin and Audrey must now continue their working relationship with his previously hidden feelings for her now out in the open.
