Outdoor activities are ways for people to relax, have fun, and take part in their favorite hobbies. Those activities don't come without risk, however, and "Dead or Alive" is a stark reminder of potential hazards that can turn a fun time into a life-altering nightmare. The series uses re-enactments to detail what happened when people and wild animals interacted, with each episode featuring a different deadly species -- bear, cougar, hippo, elephant, shark and alligator -- attacking two different groups of people, resulting in one story of incredible survival and another of sudden death. The program includes various professionals telling how to survive a brutal encounter -- and ways to avoid them altogether.
