Club Tigres de la Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León, simply known as Tigres UANL or Tigres, is a Mexican professional football club based in the Monterrey metropolitan area, Nuevo León. It competes in Liga MX, the top division of Mexican football, and plays its home matches at the Estadio Universitario de la UANL. Founded in 1960 as Club Deportivo Universitario de Nuevo León, the club represents the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León, and later changed to its current name in 1967.
Domestically, Tigres UANL has won 8 Liga MX titles, 3 Copa MX titles and 4 Campeón de Campeones. Internationally, it has won one CONCACAF Champions League title, the club finished as runners-up in the 2015 Copa Libertadores, and reached the 2020 FIFA Club World Cup final, losing to FC Bayern Munich, becoming the first Mexican and CONCACAF club to reach the final of a FIFA global competition. Subregionally, it has won two Campeones Cup titles and one North American SuperLiga.
The club's first major title was the 1975–76 Copa México, defeating Club América 3–2 on aggregate in the final, becoming the first club from Nuevo León to win an official trophy.
