Martin Short provides the voice of the title character in this animated series from PBS Kids, which aims to promote children's literacy in science. It follows the magical adventures of 6-year-olds Nick and Sally, who travel the world with the Cat in the Hat as their guide. As they travel in the Cat's customized vehicle, the Thinga-ma-jigger, which can float, fly, drive and even ski, they learn about natural science, visiting the rainforest, the bottom of the sea, and all places in between. They're joined in their travels by the Cat's mop-headed sidekicks, Thing One and Thing Two.
Getting kids to go to sleep when you want them to can be difficult. "The Pajanimals" hope to help accomplish that task. The four cuddly friends on the show snuggle together each night to sing sweet nighttime songs to their preschool friends at home. The puppet characters include bossy dog Apollo, energetic duck Squacky, quiet horse Sweetpea Sue, Italian cow CowBella and the unseen Mom and Dad, the parents of the Pajanimals. "The Pajanimals" is produced by The Jim Henson Company, veteran producers of children's programming.

Now available in a shortened, 30-minute format, "Sesame Street" bridges many cultural and educational gaps with a fun program that is enjoyed by both children and adults. A PBS staple for more than 40 years, the classic series features a large cast of characters who teach young children numbers, colors, the alphabet and concepts. Big Bird, Bert & Ernie, Oscar the Grouch, and Grover are a few of the characters involved in this program, set on a city street full of valuable learning opportunities.
Popular Chica ("The Sunny Side Up Show") gets her own show in this live-action/animation hybrid that promotes social-emotional development in preschoolers. Chica helps her mom and dad in the Costume Coop, a playful shop filled with whimsical costumes, and when the shop closes, she and her friends transform into animated characters and go on adventures that teach kids lessons, including one on an underwater adventure that teaches about cleanup time and another on a voyage with Vikings that explains why manners are important. Chica's buddies include best friend Kelly, huggable rag doll Stiches and pet rabbit Bunji.
