Getting kids to go to sleep when you want them to can be difficult. "The Pajanimals" hope to help accomplish that task. The four cuddly friends on the show snuggle together each night to sing sweet nighttime songs to their preschool friends at home. The puppet characters include bossy dog Apollo, energetic duck Squacky, quiet horse Sweetpea Sue, Italian cow CowBella and the unseen Mom and Dad, the parents of the Pajanimals. "The Pajanimals" is produced by The Jim Henson Company, veteran producers of children's programming.
After moving to the countryside, songwriter Johnny discovers a portal in his backyard that leads to a magical land called Grotto's Grove where he meets furry musical creates called Sprites. The Sprites -- Sage, Basil, Roots and Lily -- are all friendly puppets living in a magical world of talking flowers in an enchanted forest. Other characters on the show include Johnny's neighbor, Gwen, and colorful creatures called Fuzzies, who live with the Sprites. The preschool series teaches tolerance, understanding and respect through music, most of which is written by Broadway composers.
Morning show "Sunny Side Up" features Chica, a chicken who is joined by human co-hosts who encourage viewers to participate in activities that often involve learning. They try to get preschoolers to celebrate birthdays, play games, make crafts and participate in other fun activities that usually revolve around a particular theme that changes each week. Viewers become part of the show's content, which includes the hosts reading messages from viewers, celebrating viewers' accomplishments with the Good Egg Awards, and Sproutlet Stories, which lets kids tell their own tales.
Hosted by Sean, one of the hosts of "The Sunny Side Up Show," "Noodle and Doodle" showcases arts-and-crafts ideas and healthy recipes for children and their parents. The crafts and recipes are inspired by real preschoolers' experiences. Sean is assisted by his new friends -- Noodle, a lovable puppet who likes to help in the kitchen, and Doodle, a virtual friend who lives in a tablet-style device. The cooking and crafting takes place in a double-decker bus in which Sean and his helpers provide step-by-step instructions on how to make the creations. Also along for the ride is Sean's dog, Doggity.
