Cutting-edge camera technology and computer-generated graphics provide details as to how animals can fly and how flying is used as a survival mechanism. Co-produced by PBS and BBC, the series explores the basic principles of flight and shows how animals overcome gravity to become airborne in the first place. From leapers to gliders like vultures and flying squirrels, the series also covers animals that are able to stay in the sky, like the peregrine falcon and hummingbird, and what it takes to survive in a crowded sky.
