The son of CBS newsman Mike Wallace, Chris Wallace also previously helmed the NBC weekend political show "Meet the Press."
For almost as long as there has been television, there's been "Meet the Press." The hourlong Sunday morning public affairs program has featured interviews with countless U.S. and world leaders, and has reviewed, analyzed and discussed the news of the week -- all while looking toward the week ahead.
Host Sean Hannity interviews political figures and newsmakers and offers his own conservative perspective on current events.
Veteran political journalist Tucker Carlson hosts this nightly series that bears his name. Fox News describes the show as an "hour of spirited debate and powerful reporting," with Carlson taking on issues that viewers care about. He is joined by guests to help him discuss issues that don't seem to get much coverage in other parts of the media. Regular segments include Carlson calling out political correctness that goes too far and putting overblown social-media outrage in its place, all done in what the network calls "his signature style."
As part of its commitment to providing breaking news coverage throughout its daytime schedule, MSNBC has a block of "MSNBC Live" programming throughout the day, with different anchors splitting up the hours. Ali Velshi hosts this block. As is the case with other shows under the "MSNBC Live" banner, Velshi details the day's top news and political developments in Washington and across America.
As part of its attempted reinvention, MSNBC has been moving away from airing opinion-based shows during the day, replacing them with blocks of news programming to boost the network's breaking news coverage. Kate Snow, who has years of experience as a journalist for national networks, anchors this portion of the afternoon block. "MSNBC Live" details the day's developments in news and politics to keep viewers aware of the latest happenings.
Formerly a block of several hours of news coverage airing daily, including weekends, "MSNBC Live" is now the title of an hourlong show providing breaking news coverage weekday mornings. Journalist Thomas Roberts anchors the show that includes analysis and interviews surrounding the news of the day. "MSNBC Live" also includes feature stories and in-depth special reports from contributing anchors and correspondents as well as weather forecasts from MSNBC's sister network, The Weather Channel.
Megyn Kelly, a staple of Fox News Channel's daytime lineup since joining the network in 2004, moves to prime time with this show -- which takes its title from Kelly's weekly segment on "The O'Reilly Factor" -- that focuses on breaking news and in-depth investigative reports. The show presents unique angles on the news by taking advantage of Kelly's skills as a former litigator and using a strong social media presence. Kelly also regularly conducts interviews with people in the news.

Martha MacCallum has been part of the Fox News family for a number of years but made the jump to prime time while chronicling the first 100 days of President Trump's administration. Now she's branching out to cover all of the happenings in the nation's capital on "The Story." She keeps viewers up-to-date on the critical decisions, political maneuvers and key developments coming out of D.C. Through interviews with guests and reports from the network's roster of correspondents, MacCallum goes in-depth on the stories that matter to viewers.
