Telenovelas are one of the most popular genres on Spanish television. This docuseries introduces American viewers to some of the stars of the shows, taking a look at the drama, intrigue and betrayal that happens both on and off the screen. Set in Miami, "My Life Is a Telenovela" profiles the Hispanic actors and actresses whose characters captivate millions of viewers. The featured stars include Maria "Raquenel" Portillo, who was a singer before turning her attention to acting; model Sissi Fleitas; Enrique Sapena, who comes from a well-known Venezuelan media family; outspoken Liliana Rodriguez Morillo, who was once fired from a show for saying the wrong thing; singer Gustavo Pedraza; and model Alina Robert.

Chef Lawrence Page moved his Pink Tea Cup restaurant to Brooklyn to try to bring his soul-food concept to the next level in the hopes of landing a coveted Michelin star. He and his team quickly learn that it takes more than good cooking to reach the level he wants to achieve. While running the eatery, Page has to manage cat fights, power moves and love triangles between members of his staff.
