The sassy women's entrepreneurial spirits are also in full bloom as they juggle their personal and professional lives, along with their busy personal calendars.
The "Married to Medicine" franchise heads to Houston, introducing more female doctors and wives of doctors who face high stakes -- both in their social circles and in the medical industry. The ladies seem to have it all -- they're educated, attractive and polished professionals -- but they face major obstacles in their lives that aren't evident at the surface. As they fight to rise to the top tier of Houston society, the women struggle with marital and family issues while continuing in their medical careers or supporting the physicians to whom they are married. Through it all, they must find the time -- and sanity -- to juggle all of their responsibilities with their social lives.
Building on the foundation of E!'s franchise entries "WAGS LA" and "WAGS Miami" (Wives and Girlfriends of Sports Stars), "WAGS Atlanta" is the juicy new addition that documents the lifestyles and real-life relationships of Atlanta's hottest power couples, giving viewers a voyeuristic peek inside the exclusive world of superstar athletes and the women who are hustling and building empires by their side. Together they live life unapologetically with no boundaries, no filters and the infamous social life of Atlanta. These ambitious, strong women are turning things up while bringing their charm, fun and sass as they work to make their own dreams a reality, proving that a southern belle and a big-time baller can really have it all.
"Shahs of Sunset" follows some Persian-American friends in Los Angeles who try to juggle their active social lives and careers while also balancing the demands of their families and traditions. The socialites have busy dating lives and are prominent in the party scene, but they seek approval from their families as they face pressure to settle down and marry within the community. Among the featured friends are real estate agent Mercedes, controversial singer Asa and classic "Persian Princess" Golnesa.
There are cultural differences between England and America in many respects. But that doesn't stop British socialites like Caroline Stanbury from running in similar social circles with American expats, including Juliet Angus and Marissa Hermer, who enjoy a posh London lifestyle. The women adhere to the city's unwritten rules that one's reputation is everything and respect is not easily earned. Also featured on the docuseries is Julie Montagu, an Illinois native who is married to the heir to the Earl of Sandwich.
Lisa Vanderpump first gained fame as a cast member on "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," but her full-time job is as co-owner and boss at West Hollywood, Calif., restaurant SUR, which stands for Sexy Unique Restaurant. Vanderpump balances her motherly instinct with her shrewd business sense to maintain control over the restaurant's wild group of employees who are working at the eatery while pursuing their dreams. Drama seems to be part of the job for the employees at SUR, who tend to date -- and, in most cases, subsequently break up with -- their fellow co-workers.
Soon there will be "Real Housewives" all across America (for better or worse), as Bravo expands its successful franchise into Beverly Hills. Cameras follow affluent women (some regulars, others who recur) as they enjoy the lavish lifestyle only Beverly Hills can offer. The ladies change through the seasons and over time the cast has included former child actresses Kim and Kyle Richards, heiress Adrienne Maloof, restaurateur Lisa Vanderpump, philanthropist and business owner Taylor Armstrong and the one-time Mrs. Kelsey Grammer, Camille Donatacci (who alternates between a regular member of the cast and a recurring role during her time on the show).
The music and beat of Bourbon Street fades as viewers get a look at the exclusive community of wealth, rich culture and deep traditions. "Southern Charm New Orleans" follows an elite circle of friends who were born into prominent families and who choose to live a New Orleans' lifestyle full of lavish parties and exclusive invitations -- but beneath the glitz and glam, secrets could rock the very foundation of some of these friendships. Join the party in a city that has deep cultural history as these friends navigate heartache, business and personal lives, and the endless parties.
Montauk, N.Y., a beach town on the easternmost point of Long Island, is where affluent New Yorkers head during the summer to have a good time and get away from the stresses of city life. "Summer House" follows a group of friends who, after toiling away at their jobs during the week, shares a house together on weekends between Memorial Day and Labor Day -- the unofficial summer season. While there, they enjoy an exclusive, high-end lifestyle that allows them to let loose. Booze-filled brunches, charity galas, bonfires and -- of course -- drama-filled romances are on the docket for the young professionals in their summer playground.
They may live in the lap of luxury, but life isn't always perfect for the women who reside in one of the wealthiest enclaves of the U.S. They continue to focus on living large; plastic surgery, working out, shopping, drinking, dancing, and dining out top their agendas. Ladies come and go through the show's run, with entrepreneur Vicki Gunvalson having been a series regular for each season. Other ladies who have been featured for multiple seasons include Tamra Judge -- previously known as Tamra Barney -- and Heather Dubrow.
