The Illinois Fighting Illini men's basketball team is an NCAA Division I college basketball team competing in the Big Ten Conference. Home games are played at the State Farm Center, located on the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign's campus in Champaign. Illinois has two pre-tournament national championships in 1915 and 1943 and has competed in 5 final fours, 9 elite eights, and has won 18 Big Ten championships. Illinois is one the winningest programs in college basketball history, ranking 14th all-time in wins. The team is currently coached by Brad Underwood, hired on March 18, 2017. Through the end of the 2016–17 season, Illinois ranks 16th all-time in winning percentage and 14th all-time in wins among all NCAA Division I men's college basketball programs.
