On Travel Channel's "Famously Afraid," celebrities tell spine-chilling stories about coming face to face with unexplained phenomena. Athletes, actors, journalists and others are interviewed about their personal experiences with haunted houses, alien abductions and demonic possessions. TV judge Howie Mandel ("America's Got Talent") tells the story of how a spirit in his home targeted his daughter. Talk show host Montel Williams ("The Montel Williams Show") describes touring a haunted cruise ship with psychic Sylvia Browne. Actor Steve Guttenberg ("Ballers") reveals how he was tormented by the ghost of an eccentric royal. "The Alaska Triangle" is a Travel Channel series that explores an area in Alaska known for unusual activity, including mysterious disappearances, sightings of strange creatures, lights in the sky, and encounters with ghosts. Some experts speculate that ley lines or electromagnetic anomalies may be causing these bizarre occurrences within the Triangle. The paranormal series investigates enduring mysteries, such as the disappearance of the Douglas C-54 Skymaster in 1950. The Douglas vanished en route from Alaska to Montana, with 44 people aboard, and no trace of the aircraft, its crew or its passengers has ever been found. Another mystery involves a Bigfoot creature that is rumored to have caused a once thriving coastal town to become deserted. In another episode, an eyewitness shares startling video evidence of extraterrestrial activity in Fairbanks, Alaska, while a UFO hunter flies over Alaska's highest mountain in search of a secret underground alien base.

You may not want to watch "Paranormal Witness" alone if you're easily spooked. This series brings to life -- through the use of first-hand testimony, home videos and personal photos -- the stories of people who have lived through paranormal experiences. In addition to featuring the usual paranormal stuff -- UFO sightings, poltergeists, haunted mansions, to name just a few -- "Paranormal Witness" episodes also tell the stories of a child with an imaginary friend and a highway that is said to be haunted.

Australia may be in the Southern Hemisphere, but that doesn't make it immune to suspected paranormal activity. In "Haunting: Australia," six of the best ghost hunters in the industry head to the island continent in search of proof that there are ghosts there. The team -- led by former "Ghost Hunters International" star Robb Demarest -- visits some of Australia's most haunted locations to uncover ghostly evidence. He documents his haunting on social media under the hashtag #DearDavid, and the ghost story goes viral, as millions of people follow Ellis' frightening experiences, yearning for answers about the little boy with an indentation on his head. In Travel Channel's series, "Trending Fear," Ellis teams up with researcher Jen Lewis and ghost hunter Paul Bradford to help other people take back their lives after nightmarish encounters with the paranormal. Not only will the group use traditional methods, it will also use social media to crowdsource the stories, theories and evidence surrounding each case. "Adam's extraordinary personal experience and harrowing tale that went viral in `Dear David' makes him uniquely positioned to help those grappling with paranormal fear," says Matthew Butler, general manager, Travel Channel.
