The gold rush in Alaska isn't confined to the state's precious ground. It's taking place on the sea ... or more accurately, on the bottom of the frigid Bering Sea. This series, from the creators of the Emmy-winning "Deadliest Catch," follows four gold dredges and their eccentric and driven crews who risk their lives to find as much gold as possible before winter sets in and it's too dangerous to dive. The custom-built rigs, some barely seaworthy, include an 80-foot barge run by the most successful gold dredger in Nome, Alaska, and a modified skiff that seats only two people.

According to a legend that dates back to the 16th century, a cache of Incan gold worth hundreds of millions of dollars is hidden off the coast of southeastern Brazil. It's known as the "Treasure of the Trinity," and it's eluded all who have sought it for 500 years. But a modern-day team of explorers follows a radical new theory to uncover its whereabouts: a remote, treacherous island where thousands of deadly vipers roam. Cork Graham leads the expedition to Queimada Grande -- known to locals as Snake Island -- armed with advanced technology to unearth complex clues and decipher puzzles that have protected the treasure for centuries. This Discovery series takes viewers along on the epic journey to one of the most dangerous places on Earth.

The collapse of his gold mining business in Alaska has forced Farley Dean, his family, and his crew to pick up the pieces in a faraway, uncharted territory teeming with danger. Off of the coast of Papua New Guinea, on Bougainville Island, lies one of the largest untapped gold reserves in the world, but few prospectors have dared come face to face with its ferocious guardians -- crocodiles that have claimed the lives of countless fortune-seekers. Dean and his crew wade into lethal waters searching for gold just months after a local teenage boy was eaten by a croc. Assuming death is cheated, Farley's risked-filled adventure either leads to a multimillion-dollar windfall or furthers his family's financial downfall.

Assisted by a team of intrepid divers, mountaineers and bush mechanics, the Dakota Boys explore the white water rapids of McKinley Creek in Alaska, diving deep in raging torrents with a suction dredge. Not only could one wrong move prove deadly, but the guys also face wild animals, extreme temperatures and hypothermia.

Although the state's mention in the title was dropped after the first season, Alaska still plays a major role in Discovery Channel's top-rated show. It follows gold miners, inexperienced as some may be, hoping to strike it rich in the wilds of The Last Frontier and beyond. For their first effort, a crew led by Todd Hoffman and his father, Jack, sunk $250,000 into their dream and came away with just $20,000 worth of gold. The dismal summer was filled with injuries, malfunctioning equipment and constant fighting among the greenhorn miners, yet their serious case of gold fever trumps any talk of giving up and leads to new operating plans in order to salvage their dream. The series also keeps tabs on the efforts of brash youngster Parker Schnabel, veteran Dakota Fred and longtime Yukon resident Tony Beets to hit the mother lode at separate sites.

Produced by Thom Beers' Original Productions ("Deadliest Catch"), the "Bering Sea Gold" franchise expands to include this series, which follows daring dredgers who don't let solid ice on the Bering Sea deter them from diving for gold on the sea floor. The winters in Nome, Alaska, are brutal enough, but these gold miners also subject themselves to the dangerous effects of diving beneath ice that is 4 feet thick. With potential hypothermia, vertigo and frostbite, the risks are great, but the payoff is even greater.

Considered one of NASA's original space pioneers, astronaut Gordon Cooper discovered something extraordinary on a 1963 mission. While circling Earth during a 122-hour flight to detect nuclear sites, Cooper photographed more than 100 anomalies around the South Caribbean. He later believed the dark patches that appeared on the photos to be sunken ships, and while working for decades in secret, Gordon created a map that he thought could uncover treasures worth billions of dollars. Before passing away, he shared his meticulous research with longtime friend Darrell Miklos, and now Miklos is teaming with seasoned explorers and researchers to finally make good on Gordon's dream.

Despite striking it rich mining in his home state of Alaska, "Gold Rush" star Parker Schnabel isn't satisfied. He's always wondered if he could follow in the footsteps of his forebears and take on the legendary Klondike Gold Rush trail. Wonder no more. In honor of his family -- especially his beloved grandfather, who always inspired him to push beyond his limits -- Parker attempts to mimic a journey that killed thousands of brave souls in the late 19th century. As winter closes in, he begins the trek across the Coastal Range and works his way to the fabled goldfields of the Klondike. He's joined by his foreman, Rick Ness; wilderness guide Karla Ann, who once worked with Parker as a rock truck driver; and cameramen James Levelle, who has known Parker for years.
