Belmont joined the Ohio Valley Conference in July 2012, having previously competed in the Atlantic Sun Conference. The Bruins play their home games at the Curb Event Center under head coach Casey Alexander. The Bruins made their eighth appearance in the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament in 2019.
