Terry Gannon Jr. was an All-Star softball player until a few curve balls -- a baby, a lost scholarship and a loser husband -- changed everything. After striking out on her own, Terry and her son, Danny, move in with her estranged father: an opinionated, beer-guzzling, former athlete named Terry "The Cannon" Gannon Sr. Despite Terry's desire to keep her son away from the sports-driven lifestyle she had, Danny wants to play Little League. When Danny and several other sports-challenged kids fail to make the team, a wealthy neighbor finances one for the misfits -- a team that Terry reluctantly offers to coach.

Told from the perspective of an unseen documentary filmmaker, the series offers an honest, often-hilarious perspective of family life. Parents Phil and Claire yearn for an honest, open relationship with their three kids. But a daughter who is trying to grow up too fast, another who is too smart for her own good, and a rambunctious young son make it challenging. Claire's dad, Jay, and his Latina wife, Gloria, are raising two sons together, but people sometimes believe Jay to be Gloria's father. Jay's gay son, Mitchell, and his partner, Cameron, have adopted a little Asian girl, completing one big -- straight, gay, multicultural, traditional -- happy family.
After substance abuse and insanely self-destructive and obnoxious behavior throw a knuckle ball at his Major League Baseball career, former pitcher Kenny Powers retreats to his North Carolina hometown, where he takes a job teaching physical education at the middle school he once attended. But another chance at potential big league stardom -- or so he thinks -- takes Kenny "down Mexico way," where he thrills the locals as only he can before he returns to the U.S. a changed man. Or is he? The colorful and frequently profane sitcom comes from executive producers Will Ferrell and Adam McKay, among others, and stars Danny McBride ("Tropic Thunder").
Better known as Ricky Gervais' sidekick ("Extras," "Life's Too Short," "The Ricky Gervais Show"), Stephen Merchant stars in his first comedy series lead role, portraying awkward web designer Stuart, an Englishman who relocates to Los Angeles in search of sunshine, VIP parties and maybe even the woman of his dreams. Stuart is able to find a lot of sunshine, but his romantic aspirations far outreach his looks or appeal. Full of charm -- and desperation -- the gawky expat doggedly hits the glitzy LA nightlife with pals Wade, who reluctantly re-enters the dating world after a separation from his wife, and Kives, a paraplegic who uses his disability to his advantage in picking up women. Christine Woods co-stars as an unsuccessful actress living in Stuart's guest house.
Jimmy Chance, a 23-year-old man who skims pools for a living, has a chance romantic encounter with Lucy, a wanted felon. When he visits Lucy in prison months later, Jimmy discovers that she gave birth to a baby he must now raise -- with his family's help. Jimmy's family includes his parents, who have no interest in helping to raise their grandchild, and his grandmother, Maw Maw, who can barely care for herself ... let alone a baby. Greg Garcia ("My Name Is Earl") created and executive produces the family comedy.
In the 1980s, geeky Adam uses a video camera to document his family's crazy life. His mother, Beverly, is overprotective and lacks boundaries, while his dad has a hot temper and finds it difficult to parent without screaming. Rounding out the clan are Adam's terrifying sister, Erica; his older brother, Barry, who has middle-child syndrome; and the family's beloved grandfather, Al "Pops" Solomon. Pops is responsible for wild antics, including offering drinks to Barry and teaching Adam about the ways of love -- which create more chaos in an already high-strung family.
