In this futuristic cop show, the Newcomers are aliens from the planet Tencton whose spaceship, a slave ship, crash-landed in the Mojave Desert in the early '90s. Now 1995 (the near future, as the show aired 1989-90), the plot of the series revolves around Newcomer George Francisco and his partner Matt Sikes, who are both detectives for the LAPD. They clash on several levels, the least of which is not Matt's propensity for rash decisions and violence vs. George's quiet, introspective analysis.

In one of the longest-running science fiction series in network TV history, FBI special agents investigate unexplained, mind-bending cases known as "X-Files." Though the government is convinced that the outlandish reports are false, conspiracy theorist Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) and realist Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson), for most of the series, stop at nothing to prove that "the truth is out there." Series creator Chris Carter also serves as executive producer of the thrilling pop-culture phenomenon.
A weekly half-hour topical animated series set in an extraterrestrial newsroom. In each episode, two alien news anchors, Drexx Drudlarr and Tuva Van Void, offer news and commentary on the universe's most fascinating and baffling species, the Humans of Planet Earth. The anchors provide a hard-hitting look at the universe's real news -- give or take a few intergalactic translation errors, highlighting the absurdity of our current state of affairs, as well as the more evergreen, oddly-comedic human behaviors and constructs that people take for granted.
Set 400 years in the future, Seth MacFarlane's hit space adventure series follows the U.S.S. Orville, a mid-level exploratory spaceship. Its crew, both human and alien, face the wonders and dangers of outer space, while also dealing with the problems of everyday life. The ensemble series stars MacFarlane as the ship's Captain, Ed Mercer, and Adrianne Palicki as his ex-wife, who's assigned as his first officer. Additional cast members include Penny Johnson Jerald, Scott Grimes, Peter Macon and J Lee.
Rebooting the hit movie franchise of the same name, "Lethal Weapon" is set in modern-day Los Angeles, where Detective Roger Murtaugh works a crime-ridden beat. Some of Murtaugh's colleagues at the LAPD include Detective Bailey, Capt. Brooks Avery, and a pathologist named Scorsese. Murtaugh, a married father of three, finds himself working with Detective Wesley Cole, a former international CIA operative who has been everywhere and seen everything. Cole must adjust to life on the West Coast while navigating his partnership with Murtaugh.
