To enhance its current game coverage dubbed "Wednesday Night Rivalry," NBCSN created a sister show that pays tribute to the most explosive matchups in the NHL's past. "NHL Rivals" documents the storied history shared -- but not nicely -- by many of the teams featured on "Wednesday Night Rivalry," as told by current and former players, broadcasters and journalists. Included are plenty of highlights from knock-down, drag-out games between the Islanders and Rangers, Blackhawks and Blues, Flyers and Capitals, and Bruins and Canadiens, among others, that ultimately paved the rivalry road.

Airing a half-hour or so prior to most NHL games on the NBC Sports Network, "NHL Live" presents the latest news from the National Hockey League and previews the game (or games) airing on the network that night. It also features highlights, exclusive interviews, special features and occasional live look-ins at contests already in progress. Liam McHugh hosts "NHL Live," joined by analysts Mike Milbury and Keith Jones (and occasionally Jeremy Roenick). Guest analysts including Mike Keenan and Eddie Olczyk lend their expertise as well.
